Waukesha Hash House Harriers
A Drinking Club with a Running Problem
in the Greater Milwaukee Area
The Waukesha Hash House Harriers (WH3) is one of the nearly 2000 hash kennels around the world. We were founded on July 31st, 1979 with our first trail held the following day on South 171st Street in New Berlin. This makes us the 19th oldest kennel in the United States. In 1991, we had the honor of hosting the 5th ever InterAmerica's Hash, attracting visitors from across the globe to our small corner of the hashing world.
In 2022 the Waukesha Hash House Harriers became a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Each year we host two charitable events that bring visiting hashers from across the Midwest and sometimes even farther. The proceeds of these events are donated to MKE based charities or MKE based chapters of national charities. All of our Mismanagement members hold voluntary, unpaid positions that help keep the hash running. Literally. We attempt to meet in person once a month or so. These meetings are open to everyone, and we welcome input from all on how to better our kennel.
Our kennel typically meets every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays as well on Full Moons. Often times we gather for Sunday Fundays or other non-trail shenanigans during our off weekends to visit local breweries, concerts, or festivals. In typical Wisconsin fashion, we love getting together for a Friday night fish fry complete with old fashioneds. We also have many members who enjoy traveling to other kennels near and far to participate in their events and entice them to come visit us.
If you'd like to spice up your weekends with fun, good company and new surroundings, we look forward to having you!
