FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: This sounds great! How do I join?
- Check out our Calendar and simply show up. We'll be the ones in running gear having pre-trail drinks!
Q: Where do you usually meet?
- Each trail has a different starting location that the hare decides. This can be a park, a bar, or someone's house. Our trails take place mostly within Milwaukee but occasionally venture outside the city.
Q: Is there an age limit? Do I have to be in shape?
- There's no maximum age limit. You just have to be 21 to join us. We have members of all ages and abilities.
Q: Can I bring my whole family?
- While some kennels are family friendly, we do require everyone at our events be 21+.
Q: How fast do I have to run?
- How fast do you want to run? Or walk? Or stumble? Our routes are designed so everyone meets at beverage stops around the same time regardless of how fast or slow you go.
Q: How long are the trails?
- Trails are typically 3-5 miles total. We stop about every 1.5 miles for beverages.
Q: How much does it cost? Are there yearly dues?
- There are no yearly fees! Our normal trails cost $8 and include beer, seltzer, water, and salty snacks during trail. We do have a few larger special events throughout the year that cost more but include meals and giveaways.
Q: Do I have to drink? What if I don't like or can't drink beer?
- You don't have to drink at all. We provide beer, seltzers, and water on all of our trails. We want this to be a safe and comfortable environment for all of our participants. You will never be forced to drink anything or more than you want to.
Q: Your Mismanagement Team has weird names. What's up with that?
- The Hash House Harriers were originally founded with a goal of anonymity within the group. We've carried on this tradition by giving our members Hash Names. These names are based on stories you tell us or silly (possibly stupid) things you do on trail.
